Tommy Ray Richardson said: Is it possible to design the print family ordinance cards to four to a page? It sure would save a lot of paper with 4 to a page in stead of just three. Thanks

Gordon Collett said: If you search way, way back on these boards, there are some discussions about this as others made this same request. At that point FamilySearch employees told us that they tried to develop a format with four cards per page but found that there were so many brands of printers with differing capabilities that it was impossible to develop such a format with the size of card mandated by the temple department.0

Robert Wren said: I've found it easier to just take the F.O.R. ten-digit number to the temple and print them there, using their fancy 'cutter' which minimizes shaving off bits of the barcode for scanning (requiring manual number entry into the system by the ordinance workers)
Perhaps they will develop an email to the temple system, so the cards will be ready when you arrive??0 -
Pamela Tanner said: Tommy, I agree... really don't like using up more paper than I have to. However, as a sealing coordinator some occasionally bring in a smaller version of a family card and they are harder to read ;(
Robert, your last suggestion would be nice!0 -
Tom Huber said: Today's paper costs are relatively low when using the least expensive paper for printing ordinance cards. The costs are often in the toner/ink used by less expensive printers.
I have an old workhorse of an HP 4+ that is black and white only and per page cost is typically add a very small amount to the cost of paper, which is about a penny a page.0 -
How about we do away with paper and go all digital? The point isn't that "paper costs are relatively low", it's a waste to begin with, especially NOW when we don't get our cards back, we have to keep reprinting and reprinting
