Pedigree Resource errors

The Pedigree Resource File section of the Genealogies search is not intended to be an evolving updated collection of trees. Data submitted by users to the PRF is for preservation and publication purposes, therefore it is preserved and made available in a largely static state.
Because it represents the opinions of many user's research, that opinion data should always be verified with original sources. This warning is given at the top of the page.
There are no plans to allow editing in this data set. The Family Tree is the living and evolving tree where all accuracy edits and genealogical reasoning should be made.0 -

I agree. Whilst I understand that you shouldn't be allowed to edit a PRF, you should be able to add a visible note to warn other researchers of your concerns as to the validity of the information contained in a PRF tree. To allow these errors to perpetuate without recourse is wrong in my opinion. In my case, my GGF has been matched with an incorrect spouse. I have written to the contributor about their error, however a reply has not been forthcoming. They are the only ones who can alter and resubmit the file.
