Finding Gedcom Upload, Rectifying Matches and Temple Work

2) Make it easier to rectify matches. Right now I've done about 50 today and my hand is about to fall off. I can't do this. I have over 3000 names.
3) I need a way to see which ancestors need temple work done. I can't figure out what that way is. When I click on Temple, I only get 5 names out of 3000. That cannot be right.
4) Add ordinances to ancestry.com because if I have a tree there already finished, and upload a gedcom here, but then have to go through it name by name by name, it's just too much work to expect. Plus it hurts my hands and arms. There must be a simpler solution.

It seems that you have a lot of duplicate information if there are 3000 matches when looking to put it into Family Tree. Since FT is a shared system and we all use the same deceased ancestors in out lines you need to be careful when updating an existing person to make sure you are making it more correct as your change modifies my line as we have the same record for common ancestors.
If you want to more easily see differences and update either direction (to FT or from FT) you can use a partner product such as Rootsmagic, Ancestral Quest, Legacy or others (on familysearch.org/apps). They all have free versions that will match your local database with entries in FT, let you verify the matches and synchronize both directions. Most of the searching and matching is done automatically.
Since you are a member of the LDS church you can get a free Ancestry account and Ancestry now links to Family Tree and allows you, once linked, see ordinance status and click to come to Family Tree to reserve, etc. Look at https://familysearch.org/partneraccess for more on this.1 -
Deborah Ann Carvalho said: I do have ancestry.com but I can't figure out if there is a way to see my Temple Ordinances that have been completed (or are needed) while in ancestry.com. Doing it in Family Search is just not going to happen as there is no way I'm going to go through thousands of names, one at a time, even though my information is MUCH updated from most of those that I worked on yesterday. It's just too much to do. I didn't realize that Family Search was one big family tree. That's a bit frightening as I have noticed a lot of people just copy other people's information with no documentation, thus making mistake after mistake after mistake.
How do I link Family Tree to my Ancestry.com??? I went to the link you gave me but all it did was give me access to ancestry and to family search, which I already have.

Got to the "Family Trees" tab, then "Import tree from FamilySearch".
This will bring down 4 generations from FT with you as the root. Those are now copies of the FT Person and are "connected" to the FT Person. You can then compare, and push-pull data between the FT Person and your Ancestry user tree Person. That Person also shows the Temple status.0 -
I would love to know were the gedcom tree went too.. I cant find my tree lol thanks Heather
