This system allows everyone to view the ideas of others and to vote on the ideas they like best. The ideas with the most votes do tend to get the most attention, but our product managers carefully review all the ideas. Please keep in mind that regardless of votes, some ideas may never be implemented. Many factors are reviewed to determine whether an idea should be implemented. Also note that some ideas take a long time to implement. We appreciate your contribution and hope that you will continue to share your ideas with us.1

Loretta Evans said: I agree that there should be a "comments" field. My husband was indexing a record which asked for mariatal status. The record said "separated." There was no choice for that piece of information. He had to choose married, single, widowed, or divorced. This piece of information was important, but he couldn't add it.
I was doing a marriage record. The couple applied for a license, but there was no return from the person performing the marriage. There was a good chance that the marriage did not take place. There was no way to indicate that piece of information.1 -
I agree. I'm indexing death records and one of them doesn't have the person's birth date, but it does have their age. I wish there was a way to put that in.

I like the idea of a comments or additional information column. I'm indexing birth records . Listed on this document are the colonial numbers for the grandparents (being Indian indenturers), which is often difficult to find.

There are so many times when very valuable information is left off. Frequently for Catholic baptism records the grandparents of the baptized are listed. For people who were enslaved, many times they don't have a last name, but they have recorded the name of the slaver. Those are the two I run into the most and it drives me nuts not being able to record that information.
