How do I close a document from the gallery?

There used to be an x to close a document once it was opened in the gallery, but I don't see any way to close the document anymore. Am I missing something?

interesting question . . .

It seems like the current process - you cant really do that - except by re-clicking on Memories and Gallery and then waiting for the gallery to re-dispaly which may take a while if you have lots of items.

as you allude to I think it used to go back to the gallery without forcing a refresh.
