Have the Relationship Calculator Display the Relationship for Both Spouses
The relationship calculator in FamilySearch Person view does not adequately calculate relationships when I have a biological relationship to both a husband and a wife, but through different lines. For example, if my relationship to the husband is 3rd cousin, the relationship calculator displays the relationship for his wife as “wife of my 3rd cousin”. However, she is also my 5th cousin twice removed through a different lineage, so I have a biological relationship to her, as well. The way I confirmed this is by calculating my relationship to the wife’s parents and to one of her siblings. Determining this is important because of the limitations put on the ordinances I can do for the non-biological spouse’s family (parents, siblings, etc.). It would be more efficient if the relationship calculator would display this directly, because right now I am checking my relationship to the parents of every spouse to see if there is a biological relationship and not just a marriage relationship, and frequently there is. Thank you!

Most relationship calculators on genealogy websites can only manage the shortest path. You'll need desktop/offline software (Legacy, Family Tree Maker, among others) to compute additional relationships.

The "view relationship" routine only finds and displays the shortest path. If you need other paths/information, you'll need to use a 3rd party site or application. One such is RelativeFinder (https://www.relativefinder.org/#/start), although it does have the drawback of being even stricter than FamilySearch in terms of restricting paths to direct relationships only: it does not consider you to be related to your spouse.
