I am looking for the meaning of the icons in relation to digitized microfilm. Do you have an icon directory? I have to give training to a genealogy company and for my power point I would like to have a link which gives the meaning of the icons concerning digitized microfilm. Here is an example in the attached image.

I don't see a date on the image in your link, but it is a bit out of date.

In most cases, you can see the meaning of the icon on the specific DGS. There are some guidelines in my reply on this thread. https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/152103/do-familysearch-affiliates-have-more-access-to-films-than-a-person-from-their-home#latest

Short form - the camera icon alone means you can see the images on the DGS at your current location. That icon can change depending on where you are accessing the DGS. The camera icon with a key may appear when you are at home, but the key will disappear if you access the same DGS at an Affiliate Library or FamilySearch Center (FSC).

The reel image formerly meant that the records were still on microfilm, not digitized. Now that all microfilm has been digitized, the reel generally means that you can only see the images on that DGS in Salt Lake.

I am not connected with FamilySearch

The FamilySearch help article "What are Notes or Film/Digital Notes in the catalog?" says

..."icons to indicate ways to view a record

    • Magnifying glass indicates that some portion of the item is indexed.
    • Camera allows you to browse digitized images.
    • Camera with a key explains viewing restrictions.
    • Film reel indicates that FamilySearch has a physical version of the material—a microfilm or microfiche. The record custodian denies user access to the digital images.
    • No icon means FamilySearch lacks a physical copy and the record custodian denies user access to the digital images".

    Thank you the explanation,

I thought to be able to find the explanation with icon. 🙂

I suspect - but I don't know for certain - that the icons may be changing since the reel no longer means not digitized.
