The batch that I have doesn't conform to the examples that are available. Each entry includes birth, confirmation, marriage, and death. Also, there is blanks for the Christian name and a heathen name and surname. Next to each Christian name there are one or more names in parentheses. How

do I properly index these entries?

These are Baptism records. While the form may have entry fields for other events recorded by the church (e.g., birth, confirmation, marriage, and death), there are also often separate record form or indexes kept for those events.

For the last African church records project, we did not include separate entries for these events along with the baptism record.

See the following for comments about the Christian Name with punctuation variables.

    My first time.

There were three entries on the page, but, surely, there are more available on other pages, but I see no way to turn the page.

All of the baptism records that I have reviewed have been 3 entries. That is a batch. When you complete it submit the batch and then pick another one to index/review. There is no page turning in this process. Happy indexing/reviewing.

I have had 2 consecutive records on the batch in witch the baptism date is before the birth date of the person,

what do we do in this case?

You should type what you see. This same problem has been reported before, with no real answer. Researchers looking at these records will have to decide what they want to do.

Possibly the birth date is at the end of the century and the baptism date at the beginning of the next -

for example DOB 08/12/98 Bapt 3/01/02 which "translates" to 8 Dec 1998 and 3 Jan 2002
