there Is an option to remove or “unattach” incorrect people, once that is done, you can then attach the correct people. It sounds like you just changed the names as they appear in the tree? The names should be changed back (there may still be an “undo” option)

.
Firstly, before you do anything else, "Change" the "Names" (and, whatever else you "Changed") BACK to what they ORIGINALLY were.
.
Now ...
That said ...
.
Secondly, to tackle your problem/issue ...
.
Good news ...
.
You CAN "Change" the INCORRECT "Couple" that are currently your 2nd. Great Grandparents.
.
On the "Person/Details" page/screen for the individual/person, go down to the "Family Members" Section; then, select the "Pencil" Icon.
.
You will then be presented with a "Pop-Up" (aka: "Modal") 'Window' for "Parent- Child Relationship", in that "Pop-Up" (aka: "Modal") 'Window' go to the "Child"; and, then, select the "Remove" or "Replace" [which will "Remove" or "Replace" that Child from that Couple (eg. Parents)].
.
You will then be presented with, a 'standout', "Pop-Up" (aka: "Modal") 'Window' to, either, "Remove" or "Replace" that Child from that Couple (eg. Parents).
.
.
.
You can then add the correct 2nd. Great Grandparents.

Here is a "Knowledge Article" in "FamilySearch" on the matter:
.
How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?
.
I hope this helps.

if the incorrect person was attached the relationship should have been removed.
(the two people should have been "disconnected" and then the right people "connected"
simply changing the name to the correct person is not what should normally be done.
