Need to add to "Add other relationship"
I have had dear friends in my life that have helped me greatly. I think the option of friend should be added to the "Add other relationship" feature.

From a (your) purely personal viewpoint I can understand your feelings about this. However, if you are talking from a genealogical standpoint I believe this would be a step too far as an acceptable option in what, after all, is a genealogy based program.
Update - I just noticed a similar issue has been raised at https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/130331/other-relationships-section-add-friend-to-drop-down-box#latest. If the existing options have been approved by FamilySearch managers, I now accept it would be in order to add "Friend" to the list. It's still not an area in which I would want to make inputs, however, as I don't see these relationships as having any relevance to my genealogy.

@Paul W, one technique for dealing with genealogical brick walls is to research the person's "FAN club": friends, associates, and neighbors. This can help locate misindexed or unindexed records about the person, and identify or eliminate similarly-named people. This is why I think the Other Relationship item that is currently labeled "Neighbor" should maybe be broader: "Friend, Associate, or Neighbor".
But in the meantime, I suggest using the Neighbor option for friends and associates.

I would like to see a text field option where one could type a custom relationship in addition to the existing fields in the drop down list. As has been mentioned, a broad spectrum of "fan club" can often provide valuable information.
