Laptops can't connect wirelessly to Liahona network--previous suggestions on this forum didn't work
I am staff at the FamilySearch Center. Ever since we reopened in December, we have not been able to connect laptops to the Liahona network because the popup TOU page did not appear. We got one laptop to connect once. After that one time it would no longer connect. The other laptops will not connect at all. I have checked DNS servers, popup blockers, tried manually navigating to http://guestwirelesstermsofuse.churchofjesuschrist.org, tried making sure the browser was open, tried different browsers, tried the neverssl trick, rebooted, tried calling the Salt Lake help line for the Family Search centers (they had no idea what I was even talking about).
One of the laptops that won't connect is a brand new hp running windows 11, one is an old one running windows 7, and one is a fairly new Chromebook.
We can see the Liahona network and enter the password, but because the Terms of Use page never pops up, we can't use the network at all from the laptops.
I did read about the Chrome extension, but even if that works, it doesn't help when a patron brings a laptop in, because we can't install the extension without a connection.
Does anyone have any answers on this? Or if no ideas, can you tell me where I can go to find answers? It's really bad when patrons come in and we can't connect them.
