Show day of the week

Make the date show the day of the week on hover. Many of the obituary information only mention days of the week (John died Tuesday and burial is Saturday). Please make the day of the week available on the hover or in the date edit section for birth, death, burial, etc. I always have to have another window open just to find the day of the week for specific dates as there are always obituary or news articles with "hidden" vital info.

Do you mean when hovering over the date on the person's Family Tree detail page?

That is an intriguing idea. I know that it is a rather straight forward calculation to determine the day of the week of any date, but it might be quite a bit of extra calculation time to create that tool tip that pops up every time rather than just show the linked standard.

In any event, for now, if you have dates where including the day of the week is important information, just go ahead and include it as shown here in the new Person Detail page editing box:

This is perfectly correct and acceptable use of Family Tree. The program is designed to include extra information like this.

It would be nice to have the day of the week display on the pop-up when editing a date. If it doesn't happen on hover, that is fine. This way, when obituaries are read, there is context as to when (dates) things happened.

I don't necessarily want to add the day of the week into every date in Family Search, but use the day of week to extrapolate other info.
