Source Linker Not Creating Events
The source linker typically allows one to create an event when attaching a source (census records create a residence, marriage records create a marriage event, etc.). That is not currently happening. For example, when attaching this FindAGrave source, I normally would be able to add a burial event but it doesn't even appear as an option:
I've tried from multiple browsers and devices. How do I report this issue?

The offer (or lack thereof) of an event to add typically depends on the index as well as what's already on the profile. Source Linker will offer to add an event if that "slot" is currently empty, or in the case of death events, if it's filled only with the fact ("deceased"). If there's a date and/or place already entered, then Source Linker will not offer a replacement for that event/conclusion.
For Norris, the Find A Grave index has a death date but not a burial date, and a cemetery name but no location labeled "burial". (Yes, Source Linker can be that literal-minded. Ask me about "baptism" versus "christening" sometime.) Therefore, Source Linker is not offering a burial event because the index doesn't have one. It may have offered a death event, but that conclusion already has a date and place on the profile, so the question is moot.

Does seem to be a new bug. See the comment from today that reports the same problem: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/107270/standardized-location-on-document-match-not-working#latest
(The comment has nothing to do with the rest of that post which deals with standardization not sticking in the source linker. )

I am having the same problem. Even when there is no corresponding item in the person record, the source linker will not show the option to insert the data from the record being linked. I found this for census records - the location of residence. Find-a-grave - the burial location. etc.
When there is a corresponding item in the person record it will not show the two corresponding fields (from the source record and person record) so you can visually verify them.

Larry, for the census records, they appear to have changed the "Residence" tag to a "Census" tag, meaning no "Residence" is being thrown at the source linker. I'm not sure if this a temporary issue related to the rollout of 1950 US census records or if this is a new paradigm.

So, the question is, Is this an update that is permanent, or is the source linker just not working today?

I think the error must be restricted to some indexes but not others, because I've been attaching hints all evening, and I distinctly recall transferring some deaths/burials and at least one marriage.

See https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/127577/sourcelinker-no-longer-showing-new-data#latest, where @CJTobler advises this is being reported to the engineers.

I am seeing the same problem today (July 10) where findagrave sources are not loading/linking the Burial information 'automatically'

Yeah - it's not really worth attaching sources when the info doesn't transfer.
I'm not sure if others have noted that it appears that the indexed information is not connecting at all to attached sources.
For example:
But from the record view the indexed info can be seen:

It's now working today. Thank you, the silent Engineering guys.

Thanks to everyone who worked on implementing the fix!

The source linker does seem to work now, which is great.
But indexed information is still not showing up in the 'Sources' view.
I unattached and re-attached one of the sources that wasn't creating events yesterday. It did create the event, but does not display the indexed info on 'sources' view:
even though there is indexed information attached to the source:
I tried to attach links to the pages, but the robots don't like them...

I am seeing the same bug all this week and before; only the 1950 sources do not offer to create a residence event in the Source Linker. You have to go back and manually enter it. Try it with this one:

A follow-up to my comment just posted: It seems to fail only for Living persons. Deceased persons get the event attached correctly. Still a bug but not too bad I guess.

I hope this is the same issue being discussed here - if not, let me know and I can start a new thread.
When using the Source Linker to add a census record to a person, after I finish linking and go back to the person's record, the Residence has been added to the person, but no Source given...
It's very tedious having to go to each item added by the Source Linker and attach it to the appropriate source. It also introduces the possibility of error.
Can that be fixed so that if I link a person to a 1940 or whatever census, when it creates the Residence, that it links to the source at the same time?

@YvonneCariveau please see https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/comment/468888#Comment_468888
You may want to ask your question in the New Person Page.

@YvonneCariveau, the ability to tag conclusions under Other Information with sources is brand new on the new version of the person page. Source Linker, on the other hand, is I think the second-oldest bit of programming still running in Family Tree. (The catalog's image attachment tool is older: it predate any sort of source tagging.) Therefore, you're going to have to add those source tags manually for the foreseeable future.
