My concern is about the absolute disaster through changes made in South African catalog searches, by removing accessibility of films that are VITAL in our researches. These films of Church Records, births, marriages and deaths, have always been and still are the start of Family research, and not having access to them is disgraceful and really unappreciated, and an instant halting of the "gathering of Israel", and this is not an exaggeration.

The "old system"actually worked, and this is not "a work in progress" rather the total opposite. As my research is centered mainly in South Africa, (I am too scared to look at other countries now) please would you kindly restore the availability of our Catalog films in all Provinces, Towns and Probate records, as soon as possible, please?

    Sincerely,

    Memory Smith.

    Dear Sam Sulser,

As I have not been participating in Indexing, I cannot say much about your IMPORTANT UPDATE & MAJOR CHANGES made in this regard.

However, I do have a question please? Regarding the "so called" un-indexed South African FILMS on our CATALOG search, in ALL our Provinces, throughout the country, that have suddenly disappeared from FamilySearch!!! Even those marked with a "magnifying glass" (suggesting they were Indexed) is blank!!

Is there any way to recover/restore our films please? Or find out why it happened? They are the MOST VITAL records in FamilySearch, research of families Births, Marriages and Deaths, and we have been using them since Microfilms were invented, looking throught every film from the begining to the end to make sure that we do not miss any child in a family.

    Kind regards,

    Sincerely,

    Memory Smith.

Which film numbers are you specifically talking about ?

The first link had 9 pages of films, of which a majority had a magnifying glass beside them indicating they were indexed.
