Indexing reports to include related activities
I have been asked to distribute monthly indexing reports to my ward and stake leaders. The reports that FamilySearch generates do not currently include efforts in reviewing the 1950 US census, Family Bible Project, fix place names, or other indexing-related activities. Stake members have contacted me with complaints that their efforts are not recognized on this report. I would like to see other activities included in the indexing reports generated by FamilySearch, to recognize the other important indexing-related work being done.

Perhaps you might ask them why thet feel the need for their efforts to be recognised. If a person can see the importance of this work (and that includes indexing) why should you want any recognition?
All work is voluntary and some individuals have far more spare time available than others. I really dislike the idea of reports that do not take into account the complexity of different projects and do not reflect the different circumstances that can make statistics virtually meaningless.

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
I am sorry ...
The question I always ask ...
As, I just DO NOT understand ...
WHY, do SO many, have a preoccupation, with the need, of wanting to know, their "Statistics" (ie. Contributions)?
"Indexing", is supposed to be, a "Service", that we provide to help/assist OTHERS ...
We do "Indexing" (and, the like), WITHOUT, any expectation of, REWARD; or, REMUNERATION ...
[ Or, at least, we SHOULD do ... ]
WHY, do people, have to "Know", how much they have contributed, with regards to "Indexing" ...
And, for that matter ANY other "Projects" (eg, Family Bible Project; Improve Place Names; etc) ...
Is such a NEED, for GRATIFICATION ...
IF, so; THEN, that certainly DIMINISHES, their "Service" ...
Please CONVEY such, to the members of your Ward; and, to your, Ward and, Stake, Leaders.
And ...
'Yes', EXACTLY ...
ALL, such "Indexing", is "Voluntary" ...
So ...
WHY, the NEED, to "Know", HOW much one has done ...
Is such need to be able to "Boast" ...
[ ie. I have done more, than you ... ]
[ Or, is such wanted, by Leaders, to be able to "Name" and "Shame" ... ]
[ EXACTLY, the reason, WHY individual "Statistics", were REMOVED, from "Reports" (ie. FHAR) ... ]
I truly hope NOT ...
Personally, I wish the Church, would REMOVE, the "Statistics" of "Indexing" (and, the like) from "Reports".
It is really DISAPPOINTING, to 'hear', that so many (Especially, Members of the Church), have a NEED to "Know", how much "Indexing", that they have done, rather than just providing "Service" - Quite SAD really ...
Again ...
I am sorry ...
Just my thoughts.
