Hi @maryamandakimmerle1 Please provide the name of the project you're indexing and the batch code as shown in this example U S—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939 [Part R] [XXXX-XXX] for the best answer. The 16 entry fields you mention could be different pieces of information to index on 1 record or image. Happy indexing!

The other responders gave you good advice, but I’ll add my two cents worth, which you will also find embedded In buth answers.
The trashcan icon in the middle of the toolbar allows you to delete any entries you don’t need. Its neighbor the plus (+) sign icon lets you add more blank entries than the 16 (in your case) that the project provided by default.
How many you need per image depends on the particular image(s) in you batch, and how many records/names each one contains. Each record on an image consumes one blank entry.
There is no way to know ahead of time what a random batch will require, so the Project Managers make a guess based on averages for a particular project. Some projects have come provided with 300 blanks entries. And in some odd cases/batches for the project I’m thinking of, over 1000 were needed.
So, use the trashcan icon to delete the unneeded blank entries, and the + sign icon to add more, if needed.
