FAQ - Having batch submission problems or blank entries? Check here first!
Oftentimes when we are ready to submit our batch Quality Check shows unneeded blank entries that prevent us from submitting. How do we deal with this? This is a very common question.
"After you have indexed all of the available records on the image, delete any extra or unused entries in the data entry area.
- On the indexing toolbar, click the icon for Delete Entries.
- In the Delete Entries pop-up window, indicate whether to delete only the current entry or all blank entries.
- Click Delete."

Or you can click on the trash can icon and select delete all empty spaces (or it says something like that).

So, after you have filled out all of the entries that need to be filled out, you need to click the trash icon in the top left, and select the option for deleting all blank entries. After that option is selected, hit the delete button, and it will delete those extra entries. I hope that helps!

Je viens sur la page suivante à indexer et je clique sur corbeille en haut puis je coche tous les documents ou pages qui sont vides. La page dernièrement indexée revient et me demande si je veux transmettre mon lot et je dis oui. Bonne réussite !

I'm looking at UK, Middlesex parish registers. For example 1731 burials, the image is 2 pages side by side with about 50 closely-written entries on each page. I'm an experienced transcriber (30+ years) and I find these images totally daunting and very time-consuming. Can you please at least make each page into a separate image? Otherwise i think you will find transcribers will rapidly lose interest. Often people have perhaps 30 min of free time to help, but the current images are taking much longer than that.

Suffolkboy, if the batch is too large for the time you have to spend just send it back. There are smaller batches available. Other indexers prefer larger batches. There is a size for whatever time you have to spend. There is no shame in sending a batch back. FamilySearch doesn't mind you looking for a batch that suits your needs and time.
Thank you for taking time to index. Researchers appreciate your work!
