How to fix an error with President Calvin Coolidge family?

When I view famous people that I am related to, President Clavin Coolidge comes up. However, when I click on the "learn more" link it takes me to his grandfather. His grandfather displays a picture of President Coolidge. There is also a modern day picture of an elderly woman that is clearly not Mr. Coolidge. I have no idea how to fix this mess so I am asking for help.

Calvin Galusha Coolidge 1815-1878 LVCV-KWG (Displays picture of grandson that should be attached to L85X-GPZ instead. Also has picture of unknown woman. My "Family History Activities", "Famous Relatives" shows I am related to Calvin Colledge, President of the United States but when I click on the link it takes me to this Calvin Coolidge rather than his grandson.) There are also death notices for John Calvin Coolidge L85X_GPH that maybe incorrectly attached to Calvin Galusha Coolidge LVCV-KWG.)

I do not know how to fix this and I do not want to make a bigger mess trying. Someone with greater knowledge, please help.

I would also be interested in understanding how to handle one scenario you mention; a "modern" photo of a relative/descendant is uploaded to an ancestor's profile but doesn't include the ancestor. e.g. the kind looking woman with the bird sweater in your example.

I would think using the "detach from Family tree" feature is easiest step to do "memory housekeeping". Found on right hand side of sweater woman, People the photo is "tagged" to by clicking the arrow down button to open the drop down section, than choose "Detach from Family Tree" (detach from LVCV-KWG Calvin Galusha Coolidge). I just don't know if that impacts the actual image in the submitting user's (ireneGott) library of uploads that maybe they intended to tag more appropriately to nice lady in bird sweater's profile where other family can enjoy there.

Ok learned I can't edit after 4 hours...smile. adding follow-up.

Had time to play with my own uploaded images and documents in my ancestor's profile 1st to make sure if I detached, the image would still remain in my library for uploading or attaching again.  Bottom line, a user is able to detach an incorrect image or document, along with an explanation, and the item will be removed from the ancestor's profile memories but remain in the original submitters library.   I tested several ways, and even tried uploading same image and the computer told me basically "no, its a duplicate, its already in your library dummy".  **

I detached both incorrect images from LVCV-KWG using the "detach from family tree"....(see example "how to" below). I privatized the image not knowing if the image is for a living person.  I think you can check those two items off your "found items needing attention list."

**Note, I also had to remove the incorrectly linked President Coolidge image from the "portrait" area also.

The other problem remained unchanged. The problem that the system doing the "Family History Activities", "Famous Relatives" still shows I am related to Calvin Colledge, President of the United States but it takes me to Calvin Galusha Coolidge LVCV-KWG rather than his grandson L85X-GP2. So, something is still pointing the search to the wrong person as being the president. How can we trace where the error is occurring so it can be corrected?

Not sure on the broken linkage you reference. I don't use the famous relatives feature but maybe others who do can provide insight or guidance.

possibly related, hard to say, looks like another user in 2021 did some housekeeping of sorts also on LVCV KWG and left a note stating "This record, Calvin Galusha Coolidge LVCV-KWG had been incorrectly combined with both his son, John Calvin Coolidge L85X-GPH and his grandson, President John Calvin Coolidge L85X-GPZ. This error has been resolved." Only a guess, but the merged records cleanup may have impacted your tool for the time being.

Many computer and/or database fields "feeding" another tool or feature can have kinks in the process along the way. My thinking is give thanks for that which we have, contribute where we can positively impact, but accept flaws and let the programmers worry about the "bigger picture" items.

Maybe you've done a very positive thing just by reporting specific profile ids in the tool/feature that you like to work with; troubleshooters can log that type of info, decide if a widespread issue impacting many and a top list expense ROI programmers "to do" item. I'm going on a blind limb suggesting this is a programming issue...maybe something entirely else and simpler.
