Hi,

Should I index Henry's name (bottom-right of the image)?

Here's the batch code: M9N2-8YF

Hi @MelissaHW . That’s a good question. For quite a while, on most/all of the military roll and roster projects we have been instructed NOT to index the preparer’s name unless he is also listed within the roll or roster. Henry is the preparer for your batch roster, and in this Missouri project, the instructions are silent on this issue, but they do say this:

    • Index all military records, regardless of when the record was created.

So, I would say that you should index Henry and other preparers unless and until we get instructions to the contrary. @LarryClark43 abd I have asked for clarification on this - Moderators, please note.. See the following link.
