The information for the Discovery Pages comes from the FamilySearch Family Tree. For the relationships for your mom's parents, make sure to set the relationship flag for each biological parent as biological and then for the adoptive parents as adoptive. Please check out this Help Center article for instructions:
How do I specify biological, step, adopted, and foster relationships in Family Tree?
The Discovery Pages are updated every couple of weeks. After you make your changes to the Tree, check the Discovery Pages in a few weeks to make sure they reflect your changes.

How do I edit a discovery page? My mom's page is linked to me but I am not listed as her son.

The Ancestor Discovery Pages only show the information for deceased persons. You will not show up on one of these pages as you are living.

Someone made a minimal page for my grandpa and removed his profile picture and inserted my grandmother's, (they are my photos i uploaded). They did not list his natural children, only his son in law and made a discovery page. I suspect a family member from his 3rd. marriage is involved to exploit monetarily . The full contents seemed to return when I returned his profile picture. I'm not sure if the fake/clone file is still out there. I would also like any information regarding specific individuals who have accessed my photos. Please advise possible remediation actions. I spent quite a bit of time on one site removing pictures that were that distorted, (helps when making clone files) as well as removing files added to an account that were not of my relative, (sister so I know). I spent of all of Mother's Day trying to correct my vandalized family tree accounts. Take care.

Go to L8BB-K88 who is my father.
The discovery page only tells about 13% of his story. It took me from from 1992 to 2021 (29 years) to discover that he was married 7 times. and his discovery page in no way reflects this. There are other people that were married 2,3 or 4 or 5 times and they will also not reflect their full story.
My Family Search stats since 2012 are:
People 61 583
Sources 59 548
Memories 4 751

The Ancestor Discovery Pages are built automatically by a computer process. The information for the these pages comes from the standardized dates and places on the person’s detail page in the FamilySearch Family Tree. If there are errors in the Discovery Page, they are also in the Tree. Fix them in the Tree and they will reflect correctly on the Discovery Page. The Discovery Pages are refreshed every couple of weeks.

The Discovery Pages are refreshed every couple of weeks.
Why the delay? It's incredibly frustrating to try to adjust information on the Detail Page to hope it presents better on the Discover Page only to have to wait weeks to see if the changes took the way they were intended.

The process to update the Discovery Pages is a manual process it is not done automatically. Thanks for your patience.

I was shocked when I opened up Timeline for my father William Roy Faulkner, 1914-2001, KV2S-4VY, only to find my name, Birth of child December xx, 19xx, Richard William Faulkner, 19xx-living. What were you thinking by putting the information about a living person open to the public. This definitely contravenes the FamilySearch rules for protecting the privacy of living family members. I definitely want this removed now.

On the Ancestor Discovery Page for your father, this is what the public sees on the Family Time Line:
We do not see anything that references anything about anyone who is living.

Sorry to belabor this issue, but…
You have stated both:
A) "The Ancestor Discovery Pages are built automatically by a computer process."
B) "The process to update the Discovery Pages is a manual process it is not done automatically."
Does this mean that someone has to manually "push the button" to cause the update process to commence? It's already been several weeks since some of my changes were entered, and I've not seen any updates hit the target Discovery page.
[Feature Request] Please automate the update trigger for Discovery Pages to be more frequent and predictable. Ideally, trigger updates for a Discovery Page any time associated data items are changed.
I've also started to wonder if some of my changes will ever hit the Discovery Page. I've read that an individual's Discovery page is based both on facts from the targeted Details Page items (e.g. proper labels for biological/step parents), and on "Preferred Spouse/Parents" settings.
Given that there appears to only one Discovery Page maintained for any individual, and preferred relationship flags appear to be maintained as dynamic, per-user preferences, which user's preferred relationship flags get applied when a Discovery Page is generated? As the designated editor for a target individual, is there anything that I can do to ensure that my preferences for preferred spouse and preferred parents are honored when a Discovery Page update occurs for this individual?
Thank you!

How do you correct information that is incorrect on the Life Summary Page as well as the Family Time Line. Example: my Mother Delma Irene Miles is listed as married to her son Donald Carroll Mize instead of his father Donald D. Mize. Therefore it is listed also on the Family Time Line incorrectly. I assume all is incorrect because it has been incorrectly put in the Tree this way. I tried to correct by replacing it with the correct name instead of removing it but it didn't change anything.

Will be interesting to follow up, have checked out the new page for G G Grandfather, and wonder why only 2nd wife and children are displayed (I am descended from 1st wife, and she is definitely entered on the old page.?

Lamentablemente, las personas de habla hispana que no comprenden otro idioma, no le es de utilidad. Después quizás en alguna oportunidad se pueda acceder. Gracias.
Google Translate - Spanish to English: Unfortunately, Spanish-speaking people who do not understand another language, it is of no use to you. Then perhaps at some time it can be accessed. Thank you.

We have not been happy with "ancestry discovery pages" because things are written that are NOT TRUE! Things written are "assumed" but are in error. There are too many mistakes on family search that need to be corrected before you start writing stories that are WRONG!

To be fair, I don't think Family Search is making up stories or forging fictitious facts for an individual. But I do think that for individuals who lived complex lives, the Family Search algorithm can produce an amazingly insensitive portrait in the Discovery Page Life Summary.
My Great Grandmother was raised by three sets of parents in her first 16 years due to untimely deaths and remarriages. For some reason the Family Search algorithm chose the last set of step-parents to list as her birth parents despite all sets of parents being accurately tagged as either biological or step, and her biological parents being marked as "preferred" (at least for my account).
The same Great Grandmother had three spouse relationships. The first marriage ended badly after only one year with her filing for divorce from the man who had abandoned her. There was a child from this relationship that was permanently taken away from my Great Grandmother because she was left destitute after the abandonment. Despite the spouse relationship record in the Details Page including information about the divorce, and NOT being selected as "preferred", guess which marriage and child the Family Search algorithm selected to highlight in the Life Summary?
The spouse with whom my Great Grandmother raised her remaining children, and who lovingly supported her for over 40 years, received no mention whatsoever in her Life Summary.
Until the algorithm for auto-generating Life Summaries reaches a more sensitive maturity, please provide a way for us to tweak or override the results to better honor our ancestor's lives.

Interesting information.

The new discovery page is probably fine for non-researchers as it emphasizes homeland experiences, etc. However, I found it hard to use to find information about my ancestor. I couldn't figure out how to view all memories and couldn't page through them. The sources are also found at the bottom and again I couldn't see them all. Please do not remove the current details page. I was trying to compare new data in ancestry using the new page and it's slowed me down.

This "Discovery Page" is not a terrible idea, but if you 'dismiss' it, it doesn't go away. I don't want this hogging screen 'real estate' on my monitor. Give users the option of PERMANENTLY disabling it, for those who find it a waste of space.

Yea, this does not work in the slightest, i'm getting people not even in my family, and your search instructions don't seem to match up with the photo you provided.
