Singapore FHC - Does it have access to records?
I'm in Singapore and haven't been able to access the one local FHC. The representatives from there that I speak with are also unable to tell me if they have computers that can access records.
Can anyone help me with letting me know if they have computers? And if so, can you also help with me being able to visit this FHC as it seems almost impossible to get access via the people I am speaking with. Thanks

I am not connected with FamilySearch
However, it sounds to me as if the Family History Centre is not open. @P Jeffrey Are you able to confirm, or otherwise advise?
If the records you want to access are available at a FamilySearch Affiliate Library, and you are living in Singapore, perhaps you could discuss with your main Library (? National Library of Singapore) whether it would become an Affiliate Library, see (click on) How to Become a FamilySearch Affiliate Library June 6, 2019. FamilySearch Blog
The National Library of New Zealand at Wellington, and The National Archives (UK) at Kew are both FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries, so perhaps the National Library , or some other major Library in Singapore would be willing. There are some records which are not available at FS Affiliate Libraries, but quite a number are available at both FHCs and FS Affiliate Libraries.

I do not know what is open and what is closed since it's up to local leaders

The FHL Lookup service (https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/FHL_Lookup_Services) may be helpful if you are unable to visit a FHC or Affiliate library.

Hello Brian
You could try to contact the Singapore FHC at this address: SG_Singapore@familyhistorymail.org
and ask the staff there how many computers they have for the public to use for research.
Hope you are successful!

Hi everyone, thank you for your responses :)
I was recently passed that email via the chat support @DavidBeck1, but I never had a response to my message.
I tried the Lookup service which was very convenient, thanks @A van Helsdingen. But I find it much quicker and more dynamic when I research personally.
The local leader did meet with me recently at the local center, but she is very new to the role and inexperienced in all things research related. We were unable to view any records that I couldn't view at home. Should I be using my personal Family Search account to log in and search the records or is there a different log in used to access records that are only available to be viewed at a center?
Thanks, Brian

In August 2021 a new portal for computers at FamilySearch Centers was introduced which required changes to each computer at the Center, which then enables restricted records to be accessed.
See previous Community thread Family History Center Portals FamilySearch Community Forum 15 September 2021. Also see Family History Center Portal FamilySearch Wiki.
You will need to check with the Center that thIs Portal has been installed.
To access restricted records, you sign into the Portal on a Family History Center computer, using your personal sign-in details

The Family History Centre needs to reach out to Family History Support that are responsible for their area.
I have sent an email to someone I think will help, if I get a reply I will post it here.
Singapore is special to me. I love seeing the success there.

Thank you for the information :)
I'll forward these details to the local leader for her to check, thank you @MaureenE123.
And thank you for your help @JBPurdie, I'll check back here for any updates.

I can give you the name an email of the person I contacted if you like so that we don't have a three way conversation going, I feel its better getting the source.
I just used WIKI and did a bit of a search.
