Help with my German family records.
I need someone to read the German document attachment in Family Search. My Great-great-grand father, Johann George Mengler LRB3-18V was married twice. See the attachment from the Church of Leerhafe records. His first wife was Margaretha Catharina Ahrens 9XTT-2QR. His second wife was Metta Catharina Folkers LRB3-YG5. Family Search has the birth dates and death dates the same for each wife. The father that is listed for Margaretha Catharina Ahrens is Arend Folkers KV2R-TRN. There is not a father listed for Metta Catharina Folkers. The children mother's names are correct. Are these 2 ladies sisters? Which wife has these birthdates and death dates? Is there more information on this family? Are the children correct in the listing for Arend Folkers KV2R-TRN?

Near as I can tell, the two wives are the same person.
The confusion arises because for some reason, the marriage record gives her name as "Anna Margaretha Catharina Arend's", daughter of Arend Folkerts.
All that said, I second Sanra's recommendation to ask in the German Genealogy Research group. There are words in the church registers that I can't figure out which may help to straighten out the tangle.
(Note, though, that FamilySearch only provides the platform and the records. The conclusions are all made and entered by fellow users of the website. You can see all of the contributors to a profile by looking at the change log: "Show All" under Latest Changes.)
