Born 20 July 1865, at Hamersdorf?, Hannover. Forest worker in Germany. Married in 1881 with Anna Buhr. Came to America 1904, here at Davenport, Washington. Came to "Etiopia" [Eltopia], Washington 1907. Had lung disease for many years. Died 22 August 1911, 7:30 pm, on the homestead near Eltopia, Washington, as a result of a hemorrhage. Buried on 24 August 1911, at Eltopia, Washington. Age: 46 years, 1 month, 2 days. Leaves behind [survived by]: widow and 8 children. Married sister in Nebraska. All other relatives in Germany.
