Why am I not getting any text messages from other FS.org users?
I have my permission settings set to receive a notification via text when another patron sends me a message.
For about 3-4 months now I have not received any notifications via text to let me know that there is message from another patron, even though there have been messages waiting for me when I sign in to FS.org.
I have checked multiple times to be sure that my setting for this permission is on.

Hi. Have you checked that your listed phone number is correct and can receive texts.
Your chosen phone numbers are in Profile - Account
Hope this helps.

FYI
It's 'Brett'.
Just in passing ...
Although, from a different perspective (ie. "E-mail"; as opposed to, "Text Messages" via a "Mobile" Device) ...
I would humbly suggest, that this may have some bearing on the matter ...

Why am I not receiving e-mail notifications for messages in familysearch.org?
And ...
My later 'Comment' regarding a possible DISCREPANCY (and, hence CONFLICT), of HOW the various messages, are received; between, the ORIGINAL Computer "Web" version, of 'FamilySearch'; and, the "Mobile" Application, of 'FamilySearch', most probably; CAUSING, problems/issues.

Who knows, if my concern is being taken seriously.
Just my thoughts.
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

@Brett @BarryJohnson
Thank you for responding to my question.
I only use a computer, no other device for FS.org .
I checked my settings again. They are as they have always been since I first signed up with FS.org. My phone number has not changed and the notification settings are all "on", as they have always been.
I used to get the notifications on my phone, via text, when someone sent me a message. Then I would get on the computer to read the message. I haven't received any notifications for 3-4 months or so now, even though there have been messages sent to me by other patrons in that time period.

FYI
Again ...
Just in passing ...
Even if you DO NOT have (or, use) the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', on a "Mobile" Device ...
IF, you have a "Mobile" Device, that is capable of running, the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch'; THEN, I humbly suggest, that you "Download", the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', on the device, just to 'see', if there is (or, may be) a "Conflict".
I have the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', on my "Mobile" Phone; and, really ONLY use such, for either, "Shown and Tell"; or, to "Check" something, when I am out and about. I NEVER try to do any REAL work on/through the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch'. The "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', is GREAT, for just, "Shown and Tell"; or, to "Checking" something, 'on the run'.
And ,,,
That Said ...
I am glad, that I DO have the the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', on my "Mobile" Phone; as, I found that there were DISCREPANCIES (and, hence CONFLICTS), just IN / WITH, the DEFAULT "Settings", in the "Mobile" Application, for 'FamilySearch', compared to the ORIGINAL Computer "Web" version, of 'FamilySearch'.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Just my thoughts.
Good Luck.
Brett
