Incorrect Ancestors

If there are incorrect individuals in your tree, you can disconnect them by deleting the incorrect child -parent relationships or spouse-spouse relationships that have been created. Note: it is the relationship that you are deleting not the individuals. Deleting the relationships effectively removes the person who is not related from the family lines without, crucially, removing them totally from Family Search.
Here are a couple of articles from the FamilySearch Help Centre which give detail on how you do that:
Hope this helps.

2 people have misread names and data from poor transcriptions and added that information to my family tree. I know these people and the relationships that have been created are not true. How can I correct this? I cannot remove or correct anything because I did not make the entry and I am not allowed to do so

@Shannon Hecht , posting the PID will help in understanding your issue. In general you should be able to remove the incorrect Relationships. See @Colin Ramsbottom 's post above and follow the instructions in the two referenced knowledge articles. As a reminder you do not have a personal tree on FamilySearch except for the Living, but we all share one public tree for the deceased. How if however your issue is that a Source is attached to the incorrect person, then click on the Source tab on the person page then click the incorrect Source then click Detach and explain the reason the source does not belong to that person.

A different wife was added to a family member. That portion of my tree is now incorrect.
