How to access images at the FHC?
I recently went to a family history center for the first time. I tried to access records that said you must do so at a history century but I could not. The workers there were on hold for an hour trying to help me. They called another center and she had no clue what to do. Another friend of theirs simply took the record numbers and looked them up on his end then screenshot them to add to my tree. I have many death records I would like to see. Is there something I need to do when at the center so it registers my location or is it something they need to do?

I am not connected with FamilySearch
My understanding is that you need to sign in with your personal details through the special Family Search Portal on a FamilySearch computer at the Family History Center. However, the computers at the Family History Center are required to have been set up with particular software, as explained in the topic "Family History Center Portals"
You need to check with the Family History Center that the required computer extensions have been installed and that the Portal is fully functional, so that the restricted digitised microfilms can be accessed.

When you were at the family history center, were you trying to access records that are on microfilm. If you were, When you were doing that, were you signed into FamilySearch. If you were, that is why it did not recognized that you were at a Family History Center. Next time you go to a Family History center do not sign in and them you will be able to see the records that are microfilm.

Thank you, I will share this with them. I logged in on their computer but it was just like logging in at home. I’m going to make another appointment next week.

@Ciji Wright , like @MaureenE123 says, you must first be on the FHC PORTAL, then Sign-in to FS with your FS Account.
