Several of the previous GetSatisfaction discussions & contributors landed here under Ideas-Family Tree when GetSatisfaction ended. Many if not most of the discussions are not “ideas” per se. Scrolling through Ideas-Family Tree reveals many examples.

So my question is, should the Non-Idea types of discussions be started in Q & A Categories like Family Tree, FS Community, Indexing etc or should the current Ideas-Family Tree (to be renamed Ideas - “Suggest an Idea”) section host them?

If Non-Idea type discussions move to another Category we lose the history of the current discussions. But “Suggest an Idea” is a strange Heading for discussions like “Source problem” “Error in time line mapping” “Entering names”  “Latest update to the family tree search...” “Bug report: Updating Standard Place...” etc.

I guess the underlining issue I have is that Ideas should not be a separate section but they should just naturally flow with the normal discussions under major Categories like Family Tree, Indexing, Temple, Family History Centers
