I believe it shows twins. Did one of the twins die? Have I added the correct spelling of the father and mother in FS?

    Judith,

It isn't a birth "certificate," but it is his birth recorded in a parish register. And, yes, it is twins. The word tvillingar is twins. And Carl Anders died. The word dod means died or death.

Here are a few helpful suggestions for you.

You can get a list of words typical to genealogy by clicking on Search and then on Research Wiki. Search Swedish Word List.

You could also go to translate.google.com and select Swedish and search either way -- English to Swedish and Swedish to English.

You could also search for a Research Group for Sweden in Community. We just did that, and there are none right now. But you could check periodically to see if anyone started one. Many times you can post in a Research Group and ask if someone can translate something for you.

    We hope this helps.
