Ancestry Tree

I cannot give you a full answer today - too many other things - but I can give you a short answer that others can build upon and fill-out (as doubtless you will receive):
Short answer: Yes you can - but it has potential drawbacks to the FamilySearch Tree that should be considered carefully in the process.
Outline of process:
- In Ancestry download a GEDCOM (refer to Ancestry instructions).
- Use a third-party application to prepare your GEDCOM prior to upload (there really is no need to duplicate or 'overwrite' existing persons in FamilySearch FamilyTree)
- Upload your GEDCOM to FamilySearch Genealogies (uploading to Genealogies should be sufficient to preserve your tree/records)
- Carefully review imports to FamilySearch FamilyTree (there really is no need to duplicate or 'overwrite' existing persons in FamilySearch FamilyTree)
I hope this broad overview will assist you in your decisions and further direction from other Community members or FamilySearch representatives.

You can create a GEDCOM in ancestry.com (check with ancestry on how to do this in their site)and then upload the GEDCOM to Family Search. there are several articles in the Help Center to help you with a GEDCOM file.
the following articles may help you with creating and uploading GEDCOM files
How do I upload my GEDCOM file?
How do I copy information from my GEDCOM file into Family Tree?

@JesseRussell4 , IMO normally one way or the other, someone is going to have to "spend days" in family tree when an Ancestry Tree is "uploaded" in an attempt to replicate it (other that to the Genealogies section). It is better for you to spend the time adding or correcting one person at a time than for others to try and correct duplicate or possibly less correct entries. Slow and steady wins the race. I hope you have the perfect tree and can improve FamilySearch's shared community tree with added information, memories and sources.

I would suggest that you consider working with one of the standalone personal data managers that can sync with Family Tree rather than consider attempting to uploading a GEDCOM and attempting to then enter that data in Family Tree. You can download a GEDCOM from ancestry and then enter that in one of the data managers and set that up to sync with Family Tree. In this way the possibility of generating duplicate records will be significantly reduced. There has been many duplicate records generated by GEDCOM uploads and all they do is create extra work and concern for other users. You can find the data managers by going to the bottom of most pages in Family Tree and find the link to Solutions Gallery.

I can no longer get into Ancestry from the FamilySearch link. Ancestry is requesting that I login. Do we no longer get free Ancestry from FamilySearch?

A contributor imported Source Records from Ancestry into a section of the FamilySearch tree that I am very familiar with. This created duplicate records for many ancestors. Some of the Source URLs lead to Ancestry subscription page, other lead to my personal tree on Ancestry. I have never linked FamilySearch and Ancestry. I think the person who imported these records must have the two connected? I am concerned about who can access my Ancestry tree via these source records.
Where does this URL lead you? Thank you
