With the recent changes of FamilySearch separating accounts from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - I was under the impression that Community Profile changes would continue to be reflected from the FamilySearch.org>Settings. Is there a refresh time period for settings in FamilySearch to be reflected in Community or is Community> Edit Profile not attached to FamilySearch? Thank you.

    Hi @genthusiast

FamilySearch Community settings are linked to your FamilySearch.org profile. Basically, Community users create their Community account using the email address that is certified as the recover option for the FamilySearch account, and with the username and password that is posted in their FamilySearch settings.

Because guests who have been using FamilySearch since before the split also had a Church account that was created through their registration process, the split means they will have two accounts that can be used independently. Public users, however, have no reason to sign in from ChurchofJesusChrist. org, therefore, they probably will not be affected by the split.

I will be sending you a personal message to discuss your concern more thoroughhly.
