FamilySearch login page frozen in iOS 15 Safari
I just upgraded my iPhone and iPad to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 respectively, which also includes an update to the web browser, Safari. When using Safari and accessing the FamilySearch login page (ident.familysearch.org), the page freezes up and I am not able to login, type, or do anything on the page. This occurs on both of my devices. I suspect that the login page is now not compatible with Safari in iOS 15. Is this a known issue and what is the workaround?

Update: This issue is now resolved. It ended up being a Apple Keychain issue that caused Safari to lockup on the FamilySearch login screen. Disabling and reenabling Keychain in iOS then restarting the iPhone and iPad appear to have fixed and resolved the issue.

Sometimes there are problems with updates. We suggest that you delete the app or program from you device and re-install it. This usually fixes the problem. If this does not work, please let us know so we can try to figure out what the problem is.

Teresa, Safari is not un-installable. It is automatically installed as part of the iOS operating system on an iPhone or iPad. Please request the web developers of the ident.familysearch.org page to test the login page with an iphone and ipad that has been updated to iOS 15 which was just released on Monday, 9/20 by Apple.

Update: Just discovered that if I wait 60 seconds or so, I get a cursor at the Username field and then it will allow me to authenticate. Very strange. Before the iOS 15 update, it was instant. Works on both my iPad and iPhone if I wait for a minute after the login page appears.
