Indexing shall include a full date of birth or baptism, not just the year
Indexing has been oversimplified recently. The month and date was removed all over the place.
This is really terrible. It causes a lot extra additional manual work. I do not understand the logic of this change.
The DFN and RN numbers were also removed.
Why do you destroy a good system with such changes???
Please, restore back the full dates in the indexes!!!

I'm a community member; I don't know the reason, personally. However, I have an semi-remote idea as to why: It could be that they plan to have people index that other information separately, in other projects.

Also just a community member with another theory.
The owners of the records decide what information will be indexed. My other theory is that subscription services, like Ancestry, and governments and archives that charge for records, probably would prefer the indexes not have too much information. Then you must visit their sites to view the images, or pay for a copy from an archive to get all the information on a document.

It affects all Catholic Church records in Hungary. Fortunately, the Protestant Church records are not converted yet.
Now all the Sexes are moved to Male. All recent index matches show Male when it is clear from the given name and even clearly stated, readable in the original record that it is Female.
Someone is systematically destroying the indexes to become less usable... Sad...
