When attaching the 1870 Census for Paint Township, Ross, Ohio, United States, it does not show all the children as listed on the enumerator’s list. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M6VB-YKM  What needs to happen in order for all the children listed to be attached from this source?

    Dear YoungstomGeorgiannKae1,

It looks like the 1870 census record for the Snyder family was split into 2 sections. Unfortunately we can't fix this issue.

    The 2 sections include:

1 - Benner, May, Victoria, and Virginia

2 - Eliza, Laura, William, and John

The first group have had the census attached to them.

Laura, William, and John have had the census attached to them.

The record for Eliza is unattached. We don't see Eliza in the family unless Eliza is the same person as Lydia LHKF-PFN.

If you go to the 1870 census attached to Laura J Snyder LRQQ-X1S, you will see it has unfinished attachments. Click on Unfinished Attachments. If Eliza and Lydia represent the same person, you can attach the record using the source linker. If not, you could create a new record.

We hope this helps you solve the problem with attaching the census.

No, this doesn't because it only opens the information from the census for Mary, Victoria, and Virginia Snyder. Non of the other children show at all.

This may be the rest of the family to be attached but it places an 8 year old as the principle and doesn't name the parents which are listed on the enumerator's page.

"United States Census, 1870", database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M6VB-YK7 : 28 May 2021), Laura Snyder in entry for Eliza Snyder, 1870.

Yes it somewhat answered the question but leaves the question about how to fix this.

This looks like the 1870 US Census was index, by a computer program, incorrectly for the Snyder Family. There is no easy fix. You should upload the 1870 US Census image into each family member's Memory-Documents. Then create a source in your source box. From the source box you will be able to attach your created source to each member of the family the 1870 Census.

How do I create a new source in Source Box?

How do I attach source from Source Box?
