Thank you Linda,
I have received a translation from DidierDarrort1 which was very helpful. I would like to know why these two birth records were included in the "Marriage Publications" for Wentzwiller?
And I could not see the specific translation of the phrase:
"maiden Anna Maria Mundwiller and J. ?. Mundwiller age 2?"
I was hoping this would give the name of the father in these two birth records. I have a comment in for DidierDarrort1 regarding the births included in "Marriage Publications". Thank you for your continued assistance with this family; I am grateful.

Carol,
Sometimes I have found marriage records in Denmark where a child was a couple of years old when parents got married. In one case the child's baptism and the parent's marriage was performed on the same date. A researcher in Salt Lake explained that sometimes a minister or priest would travel around to the various farm holdings and perform baptisms and marriages and then move on and not return for months or years. I wonder if this could be the case in other countries with vast rural areas.
I hope DidierDarrort1 is able to help you.

Bonjour @CarolEKallmeyer
It's not a marriage certificate, but rather a birth certificate.
This act was entered by mistake in the registry of marriage publications of the municipality of Wentzwiller.
(this is also what is indicated in the margin of the act)
Essentially :
The child Balthazard JORDAIN was born on January 7, 1827 at 2 o'clock in the morning at the home of Joseph JORDAIN (paternal grandfather) who works as a cabaret-keeper.
The mother's name is Anna Maria MANDEVILLER, 22 years old, without a profession.
The mention "Demoiselle" (in french) in the act suggests that she was single when she gave birth and moreover the name of the dad is not mentioned in the act.
(So check with your previous family research)
Best regards - Paul-Marc
