The message, "The merge request has failed. Please try again." has appeared this morning for several merge attempted mergers, for example, https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/merge/confirm/9X3P-J3L/9NVC-9D5.

Hmm, I was just able to merge two other persons. Perhaps there is something unique to one of these persons I have tried to merge.

I am getting a lot of errors today as well. About 1/3 of the people I try to edit are giving me a failed error whenever I try to edit a vital or attach a source. Also had it happen to a merge, so I am thinking it is related.
edit* Actually this was an hour ago. I went back and tried again on some of the people that were giving me errors and they are all working again. So you might want to try again on yours1 -
