Is Family Indexing Review currently offline?

@MandyShaw1 @dancingintherain I have tried opening up all of the Spanish-speaking countries daily since Monday and have been getting the messages "We Didn't Find Family names to Review in…". Does this mean that there are no Family Names to review or might it mean that Engineers have temporarily stopped posting in FIR because the program is being updated or problems are being fixed? I'm having FIR "withdrawal" despite still doing QNR. I'm not interested in helping other programs outside of FamilySearch.

I also would like advice on getting my FIR numbers/countries corrected in Your Impact. I did send a message via the Feedback button on the left edge of the page a few months ago but nothing has been added. I have no record numbers recorded for Puerto Rico although I have 800 shown on the Get Involved page. They are not located with the U.S. numbers as a U.S. territory. I do have a few hundred listed in the Philippines and a couple in Costa Rica so this oversight for PR is perplexing.

    We discussed this issue in our team meeting today. The engineers are looking into this problem. Keep watch on FIR, and hopefully it will be resolved soon.

    @Mary Rice

    I have been checking Get Involved Family Indexing Review (FIR) each day in hopes of seeing it functioning as expected. At this time, I do not have any additional information about why Family Names to Review are not currently appearing.

    Our team will meet soon to discuss the situation and hope to receive an update then. We appreciate your patience and understand your disappointment, especially since you enjoy contributing to Family Indexing Review and miss having work available.

    Thank you for your continued dedication to FamilySearch and for checking regularly. We will share any new information as it becomes available through official channels.

    @Mary Rice I am an ordinary user so have no insight here, but I imagine there are simply no indexing candidates ready for review at present.

    @Mary Rice

    From what I have been told, FamilySearch is working hard to make improvements to help users in Get Involved. We must be patient in this process, as engineers need to decide what needs to be done.

    Usually, when there is a message that says something like: "This activity is currently unavailable" or what @Áine.ní.Donnghaile mentioned: "The inventory for this activity is currently limited. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve this experience. Please check back soon"In my observation, this could mean a few things are happening:

    There are currently fewer opportunities available than expected for that activity.

    The system may be limiting how many opportunities are displayed while inventory, assignments, or eligibility rules are being updated.

    The Get Involved team is aware of the issue and is making changes to improve the experience.

    It is generally a temporary condition rather than a problem with your account.

    I know that FamilySearch appreciates your feedback. Please feel free to share your concern anytime. Hopefully you will be able to continue working in FIR very soon.

    @dancingintherain is there any reason why we can't simply be /told/ what the situation is? If there are no current opportunities because the indexing process sausage machine hasn't yet spat them out, that's fine. If Indexing Review needs enhancement so much as to make it better left alone until it's been fixed, that's fine too (given that the last thing anyone wants is rubbish metadata put live).

    @Mary Rice my assumption is that the Get Involved Indexing area is, like the old manual indexing function, aimed fundamentally at helping to deliver indexed Records for publication, so the flow will always be stop/start dependent on what Images are where in the FS internal parts of the process.

    One FamilySearch based thought - I am sure you are already aware that Family Tree itself is a even more fertile source of stuff needing cleanup, and, especially with the Data Quality Score now showing up across a lot of date and place ranges, there are lots of opportunities there for remediation, improved and corrected sourcing, hints handling, merges, etc.
