How do I tell when a Record Hint was dismissed and who by?
I can see dismissed Record Hints for a profile, listed on the relevant Research Helps tab, but it doesn't say when the hint was dismissed, or who by, and neither does the Change Log (or indeed the hints API output JSON), unless I am missing something.
Is this information available to users, and, if so, where?
(I was expecting this to be tracked in the same sort of way as duplicates marked as 'Person not a Match', and including a visible reason statement, but apparently no.)

Thanks for pointing out something I never noticed before: the "Dismissed Helps" tab in the "Research Help" section.
In my "Following" list, I have seen hints dismissed with the date and user. But then when I go to the profile, there is no record in the Changes section. I agree that this should show up in the profile's "Changes" section.
A couple of months ago, I questioned a user on why they dismissed a hint. She stated it was not for her grandfather. I countered that the hint was for a different person with the exact same name. The conversation didn't go much further because of language difficulties.
Now that I have found the "Dismissed Helps" tab, I can see she gave the reason of "Date de décès ne correspond pas" (Date of death does not match). I have wondered for the past 2 months if the hint may have appeared on her FS home page for her grandfather and somehow was dismissed for my distant relative?4 -
Thank you @Nyx773 for pointing out that the reason statement is shown on Research Helps, if there is one! (Still can't see it in the JSON API output, though.)
Does seem a bit odd to show someone's reason without identifying them, especially given the new-to-me fact that the user and date/time do appear on Following (so they are clearly stored somewhere, and are not felt to be too private to show to other users).

I have reported the lack of 'who and when' information on Research Helps' 'dismissed' tab as a bug via Feedback. (I would have pasted the exact text here, but I forgot to copy it before I hit Submit … please please mods can we have a way of getting back to our Feedback and Suggested Ideas?)
Incidentally I couldn't find a Feedback tab on Research Helps or on any 'profile' display, only on the Home Page - is this normal?

Thanks Áine, interesting, but the one I was looking at is a 'Record Hint' not a 'Research Suggestion', and I can't find it on either the old or the new Change Log for this profile (G9BW-KP3).
[Edit - I have now looked at your profile & see that it's coming up as a Record Hint there too, despite what the Change Log called it! And weirdly I can't see your one in either Change Log version either …]

My confusion is a result of it looking like one image, not 3. Please add space and/or text between images.
To reiterate and expand on what Mandy stated:
The who/when is recorded for dismissed Suggested Merges and dismissed Research Suggestions.
It is not recorded for dismissed Suggested Hints.
