Why are links to restricted access files coming up in Full Text Search now?

Just a few days ago, when I did a Full Text search, I got links for files that can only be accessed at data centers. On one search, over 3,000 results came up, I am not going to go through every page to find just a small handful of results that may or may not pertain to the person I'm looking for! Please fix this!

Oh my goodness, this is WONDERFUL! Up until now, if there were results of a Full Text Search, you could only see in a Family Search Center, they did not appear at all. You would never know how many other possible sources existed. Now you KNOW they are there, you can bookmark them or copy and paste the urls into a document to email to yourself. When you go to an FSC, you can access your email remotely and check out all the links.

    This is a great advance!

This is a the key takeaway for me. But I can see how the 'flood' of restricted record results can be an issue if a FTS query is overly broad. Maybe the implementation of a Restricted records ON/OFF toggle would help

@Mary McClelland This discussion might be better placed in the Full Text Search Feedback group.

Áine.ní.Donnghaile reminded me that this was already being discussed in the discussion below.

    Thank you

@sc woz If you will look, you will see it already is in the FTS Feedback group.

Or you can utilize the "To-Do List" on the home page:

Sorry, but given the issues the To-Do List has had over the years, I cannot recommend it in good conscience for saving anything you don't have documented elsewhere.

I always have a tab open in my browser for my Google Sheet where I store the URLs of records I need to view when I'm at my FSC or AL.

I was not aware of this issue. Thanks!
I only recently started using the feature and have not had any problems. But I'll transfer my items accordingly.

There have been several threads about loss of information or loss of the entire To-Do List.

@Aine.ní.Donnghaile This post has gotten mixed up with two topics - filtering restricted records and the To-Do-List issues.

The To-Do_list issues should be posted in Ask A Question area under the General questions.
    https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/general-questions

I will present the filter suggestions to the FTS team for consideration.

@FlyFisher53 As I said, in good conscience, I couldn't let another user's suggestion of using the To-Do list for restricted records stand, knowing the problems encountered with it in the past.
