    What part of the world are you researching? There have been a few threads lately about records that have been withdrawn because of new restrictions or regulations. Hints from those collections - especially Italy, but others as well - can no longer be displayed and may show as dismissed.

    @Marge Tort 123 I would suggest going to the Italian State archives. Due to recent changes in the privacy laws and contractual obligations a lot of the records are now located at Antenati. You could also join and ask questions on the Italy Research Group. Several experts monitor that area to assist in all things Italian. @guido paoluzi cusani Sorry, I read the discussion wrong, but if you are researching Italy, then this is a good place to start. If not, then there are many waiting to assist you right here.

    @sc woz Marge has not told us that she is researching in Italy.

    I've encountered dismissed hints from other countries, not just Italy.
