Tagging images in Sources and Memories has changed recently with more steps and bugs.
@Lori Grua has posted:
First a pop-up window appears asking me if I want to "Start Tagging", and keeps reappearing every name, even if I check the box to "Hide until next sign-in". Maybe it's important to notify users of the option to make it public or private. But, Seriously? Every time I tag, I'll be notified?
Secondly, when adding a tag, close family members names used to populate, but don't any more.
Third, if I copy the person's ID# to find them in the system, it no longer searches for them but requires an additional step. I have to create a person. Next, take more time…if I know how to do it (NOT intuitive or user friendly) I need to Attach them to the Tree.
Fourth complaint. Once the correct name is found and the tag is attached (after multiple unnecessary steps), the ID number isn't replaced with the persons name when hovering over the image! And I don't know how to fix it.
I'm hoping you can fix these problems!

@Lori Grua I’m so sorry for the trouble you’re experiencing with tagging.
Yes, we know that Tagging is important to Family History, but sometimes the Tagging function on FamilySearch is limited.
Please be patient with our Engineers as they try to make this free service work the best they can.
For each of your concerns, you can check out these previous discussions from our Known Issues page. (Unfortunately, you’ll find that many of your concerns have been classified as “working as intended.” Again, we ask for patience with the tagging function.)
Concern 1: see Hide until next sign-in" alert doesn't work.
Concern 2: see “Difficulty Tagging People in Pictures”
Concern 4: I will check with my Engineer on this one, but I think this problem might be closely related to another issue we have been seeing lately. See the discussion and the fix in “Tag Name now includes a number.”
As for Concern 3, I want to make sure I understand this one better. Can you please share a little bit more detail. . . just so I make sure I get you the correct answer.
Again, thank you for your feedback, your patience, and especially the work you are dedicating so much time to!
