Accessing My Discussions under Quick Links

You can always find your discussions (threads you have started) from your profile: https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/discussions/214028/Bill%20Kaczmarek

As Áine states, yes, you can always find them but you have to find the right list. When I click on your name here, I can see that you have started two discussions:
and clicking on that 2, I can see both of them:
However, if I click on my own icon in the upper right corner:
And click on My discussions I come to this page:
Which only shows topics started under Ask A Question and Suggest An Idea.
To see all my discussions, I have to click on my name in that pop up box to come to here:
where I can scroll down to this section:
to see a different Discussions link and if I click on it, I get a list of all topics I've started:
You can see here that there are two discussions I started in a group that are not on the other list.
Why they have two different lists in which one includes group posts and one does not is a bit of a mystery.

Thanks Gordon. Now I can see one of my two Discussions if I click "My Discussions ... 2 ", ie the link in Quick Links. But I still see only one of the two Discussions @Áine Ní Donnghaile ...unless I know to then click my profile icon on that page, I cannot get to both of my discussions...
Why wouldn't the link on Quick Links "My Discussions ... 2" display TWO discussions?!
That needs fixing!
Thanks all

The Community is based on 3rd-party software. Some things don't work as we expect, but that doesn't mean someone can change it easily or at all.

I'd think the 3rd-party would be able to fix it, no?

Not necessarily. And not without a cost. It's a very basic 3rd party product. Making changes to suit users means someone has to pay to have the program redesigned.

As Áine says, no, the 3rd party can't fix it, as the problem is with how FS has tried to implement the one-size-fits-none modules to organize things. The "groups" module doesn't play well with the "categories" module, and the "My Discussions" element is part of the latter. The "Discussions" list comes at it from a different direction -- starting from the user, rather than from the forum -- and thus includes contributions to both modules.

Hello,
When I am in Community.FamilySearch.org, and click on My Discussions, a list of my prior posts comes up that are arranged with most recent post on top and going back in time as you go down the list. But, there is no way to navigate to any prior post that isn't on that page. Of the 64 posts I made, I can only see the most recent 10. There is no button to go to the next 10 or to the oldest. There is NO navigation for getting to any others.
Additionally, under QuickLinks, if I click on My Bookmarks, which says I have 6 bookmarked posts, only 3 of those 6 come up.
Thank you in advance.

At the bottom of that page of My Discussions, is a navigation aid - with the additional pages of discussions:
Snip of my tenth most recent post and the links to the additional pages just below:

(I know that was not there yesterday nor earlier today, but now it is. )
Now, on the first page I see 10 posts, and I can go to a second page of posts; the second page has one post. So, that is a total of 11 posts I can see, out of the 65 that should be there.

I just went to your Community profile page, clicked on "Discussions", then carried on clicking on "More Discussions" (at the bottom of the lists) until eventually they appeared right back to 2018. True, there only appear to be 59 (not 65) visible by using this method, but that is far more than you are apparently managing to view.

That is a little weird that Home> My Profile> My Discussions will let me get to my earliest posts,
but Home> My Discussions will only lead to access of the most recent 11 posts.
But at least it is a way -- Thank you for finding that way to get there!

@Ellen Zaifnejad If you have any adblockers active, they can hide elements of the community and on the main FamilySearch site. AdBlock, uBlock, and MalwareBytes will all interfere with seeing various buttons, including Feedback on the main site.

When I click on the above links for my bookmarks or my discussions the posts don't come up. How do I access my past discussions? Thanks.

I have again merged several threads asking about seeing all discussions. You can click on your user icon or picture to the left of your name in any post and then choose the (Number) over Discussions. You can also see them by visiting your profile at https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile. You can click on Discussions on that page to see the conversations you started. A direct link to that page is https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/discussions.
