Accessing My Discussions under Quick Links

Either way, I only see 8 of my 21 threads and no numbers at the bottom of the page.

If you only have a total of 8, then there will be no numbers at the bottom of the page. The first page holds 10.

@Steve Wassom, I can see 15 of your 21 in the "Discussions" list accessible from your Community profile (https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/discussions/Steve%20Wassom). Have you flagged any discussions? Those may account for the other 6. Either that, or they're phantoms related to the Community's previous iterations.
As Áine said, the counter doesn't actually report how many threads you've started. You're only "missing" six; this is a far cry from active people like Áine and me -- my counter says 123, of which I can see 82, while hers is over 300, of which the list shows ...exactly one. Yes, one.

If you visit my profile, @Julia Szent-Györgyi, you'll have to click more 6 times to see more than 1. It seems the threads are segregated by time - I think by week. So, I started one recent thread, but my nearest previous discussion was on 11 Feb. Then 4 more clicks will show a thread I started in early January. And so on.
Don't ask me why - I have no idea.

Ah, so with considerable persistence in clicking "more", I can get it to show me 38 actual discussions. Out of 361. That's a lot of phantoms, @Áine Ní Donnghaile. 😶

@Steve Wassom, did you read any of my replies to your question? I mentioned the longer "Discussions" list in my first message, and gave a direct link to it in my second message. Did the system fail to deliver those or something?

@Julia Szent-Györgyi , I apologize for not responding. I am a full-time FamilySearch missionary in the Oakland FamilySearch Center and was swamped today helping patrons. Thanks for your efforts.
Yes, the link that you provided does get me to all my discussions:
https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/discussions/Steve%20Wassom
And clicking on my avatar at the beginning of a post goes to the same place, as @Maile L showed. But clicking on my avatar at the top right, then on discussions, goes to a different place with only 8 of my discussions:
https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussions/mine
So my take-away is to either bookmark the one you sent, or click on the avatar at the beginning.

If you click on your avatar at the top right and choose your name (not "My Discussions"), you'll go to your profile page. It has a right-hand column with Activity, Notifications, Moderation, Inbox, Discussions, and Comments. Click "Discussions" there to get the longer list. This has the advantage that it's always accessible: you don't need to find one of your comments or discussions to get to it.

@Julia Szent-Györgyi, thanks again. I think I've got it. It's just not intuitive to click "edit profile" and not "my discussions" to find my discussions! But at least it works.

When I look at the Quick Links on the home page of the Community it shows that I have 82 discussions that I have submitted. When I click on "My Discussions", only three results appear, all of which refer to problems with the new Community platform. Most of my questions apply to my German Research group. How can I find my questions/discussions?

Click your avatar at the top right, then click your name on the drop-down. This takes you to your profile page. In the right-hand column, find and click "Discussions" to see a list that includes Groups. (The "My ..." list only includes Categories.)
Alternately, find one of your posts, click your name, and click on the number above "Discussions". This also takes you to the longer list.

I have merged several threads asking about seeing all discussions. There are two easy ways to see your discussions or comments.
1- Click on your user icon or picture to the left of your name in any post. Click on (Number) Discussions.
2-
Click on you account image in the top right corner and then click on your username. Click on Discussions. (This will be either in the right sidebar or at the bottom of your profile page depending on the size of screen you are looking at.)1 -
Is there someone that can help me figure out how to access my past discussions? It shows I have 22 Discussions but I am unable to access any of them when I click on the link. Thank you.

The first way works for me and I had not tried it before. Thank you very much!! (The second method, for whatever reason, is not working for me-- I have tried it several times.)

All I get is a blank page which indicates I have one discussion.

@DavidPasket, here's a direct link to your Discussions list: https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/discussions/DavidPasket
As you can see, you now have two discussions to your name.

Oh my, I have the same problem. clicking on My bookmarks or My discussions brings up a blank page (still). My bookmarks used to to work but not anymore. The link above brings up the list of notifications for my discussions but I still have to look through all of them to find the one with the info I currently need. Am I missing something. There is no " more discussions" anywhere on the page. Please send me a method to find the great answers that I previously received. Please let the programmers know about this problem.

@christianmeyer1, since all five of the discussions you've started are in a Group, not a Category, the "My Discussions" list doesn't show them. You have to go to your community profile page (https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/christianmeyer1) and click on "Discussions" there. (Note the lack of a possessive pronoun.)
There are a couple of ways to get to your community profile page. If you're on a page where you've posted, then you can click your name and choose "View Profile". Or, on any Community page, you can click your profile picture (the gray circle-torso thingy) at the top right, then click your name on the resulting drop-down.
I've never used the Community's "bookmark" feature, so I can't help with that, sorry.

thank you. this was helpful

I have three community threads bookmarked and three discussions. The trouble is, when I log in and click the links to my discussions or bookmarks, nothing comes up. Any ideas?
0 -
The reason they're not showing up there is that all three of the threads you've started are in the Groups section of Community, and the "My Discussions" list only shows things in the main Categories. To see your posts in the various Groups, you need to go to your profile page and click on "Discussions" there. (Note the lack of the pronoun.)
There are a couple of ways to get to your Community profile page: you can either find one of your posts, click your name, and choose "View Profile", or you can go to the top right of any Community page, click the gray circle-torso-profile-thingy, and click your name.

That worked... it's a little clunky, but it works. So far I'm only subbed to a couple groups so not a big deal. Thank you for your assistance!

I agree that the weird partial segregation of Groups from the rest of the Community makes for a rather clunky experience.

I am also getting a blank screen under My Discussions and when I click on profile for just Discussions, still shows blank. Any ideas?

That's weird. Your link works fine, but if I click on the Discussions link in Profile, the word profile is left out of the URL and says page not available. If I type in /profile/ before discussions, it works fine. HMMMM.
Thanks!

I spoke to NASUPPORT and they said I need to COMMUNITIES TECH SUPPORT but they didn't know how to contact you

My discussion on this page now appears in MY DISCUSSIONS linked page, but not my first discussion. Frustrating!

My original Discussion fails to appear in MY DISCUSSIONS: dated January 26, entitled "Translation Request - a marriage certificate, and a death certificate"
