Newbie in Trouble. What did I do and how do I solve it.
I got myself into a mess. Can somebody point me in the right direction to resolve this?
I cannot open [Unknown Name] in attempt to edit or delete.
Mathilde Kindler appears twice as K21P-H87 but there is no indication from website that it is a duplicate.
How do we fix a situation such as this? Your help is greatly appreciated in this matter and thank you for taking the time to read this.

No, I'm using a laptop not a smart device.
Dennis, your method worked just awesome. The step by step diagrams were of great help.
Thanks to all who offered assistance and advice, much appreciated.
This problem has been solved.

This isnt as bad as you think.
Note it is NOT really a duplicate person - as it has the same PID (K21P-H87)
you simply have created multiple relationships for that same one person
give me a bit and I can try to send a screen shot of what you need to do.

(note I have included screen shots below - BUT it may take a minute or so for those screenshots to be approved and to display) - wait for the screen shots to display.)
again - the People here are not really duplicated (based on the fact they have same ID's)
BUT What has happened is that inadvertantly there have been TWO sets of parent child relationships created.
one - with the daughter and BOTH of her parents (which is I assume correct)
second - a parent child relationship with the same Father as the other one - but a missing Mother.
You simply need to remove the 2nd one (the 2nd relationship) so that all that is left is the 1st relationship.
follow these steps to do that:
1st step
FIRST go the the record of Mathilde Kindler (K21p-h87)
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/K21P-H87
then follow these steps
2nd step
3rd step
4th step
in completing this - it may SEEM as if you are disconnecting her from her Father
actually what you are doing is REMOVING the 2nd set of relationship -
and the 1st set - which is accurate - will still be left and she will still be connected to both her father and mother.

also I get the impression you may be using a smart device - using the FS App
(where as what I am doing I am doing is from a desktop computer (Windows based) and using the web version of FS
because of that I am not totally sure you will see things exactly as I do. . . .
If you can - try and complete the steps above on a computer - that would be best - but it should work very similar on the smart device / FS app.

It looks to me like the question's screenshot is from a descendancy chart view. Those can get confusing even without extra relationships, because spouses versus children differ only in millimeters of indention. They're great for overviews, or for finding profiles with hints, but for actually working with and editing the Tree, I strongly suggest following Dennis's advice and using the profile detail pages. (The Family Members section of those is basically a single-generation descendancy chart, after all.)

there are various ways to skin a cat
yes - creating a duplicate wife and then merging would work as well.
But I usually prefer not to create records - simply to turn around and have to merge them.

Julia: yes I was a bit confused about that, myself.
Les72: You will need to first go to the profile page of the daughter to make these changes. Not on the Pedigree or Descendants view.
