How accurate has AI been so far?
One thing that computers are excellent it is in compiling statistics.
One result I would like to see is how accurate has the Artificial Intelligence in its 1950 Census work. There should be an adequate database to quickly calculate these two items: Compared to corrections made by the live indexers, what is the percentage of unchanged surnames & of index first names in the Review Names feature.
I'd be surprised if it hasn't already been compiled. My guess is (based on my personal experience in this category, ca 20,000 so far) first names @ 89% & surnames @ 81%. (Those number were just a guess; after posting this I counted a few page results (which were VERY clearly written) and they were more in like 95% correct - that's impressive!)
The dependability might also be helpful in how much trust might be placed in the AI in 'close decisions'
It might also be interesting to learn about results for individuals vs. the group as a whole or by state or ???.
