Reviewing
Hi, everyone. I have indexed over 1,000 names, and I have reviewed a couple of batches. Now the site will not let me click on the Review button. The button is grayed out. May I ask why I cannot review any more?

@MelissaHWeber --It appears to me that the Finger Lakes Records are at 99% indexed and reviewed. Therefore, the remaining files/records that have finished being indexed and are awaiting review may already be checked out for review, making none available for you to check out. It appears there may still be some records that require indexing, and when completed would then be available to review.

@WilbergClarkN is correct about why you are unable to review the Finger Lakes project, you would be able to index batches since the button isn't gray. You can still Review batches of other projects.
Also, since there are still batches that need indexing in that New York, Finger Lakes project, check back and some may be available to review later.

One explanation might be that some projects have a maximum of 4 batches that you can download. If you try to download more, the buttons will gray out.

The situation I experienced was when I did not have any batches checked out.

Are you trying to review from the 1950 U.S. Census page or the Indexing Find a Project page?

I was in the indexing section to find a project/batch.

Can you do a screen shot of the "Find a Project Window" and upload it here, so we can see what you see?

Take note on this:
You qualify to review records after you index 1,000 records in the Web indexing system. Then, you begin to see the Review button when you search for a batch to index or review.
After you have indexed 1,000 records, you will automatically be given access to review batches. The permission process takes a day or two.
To locate your indexing total, go to the Indexing page:
- Find the Progress chart.
- Beneath the chart, click Projects.
- See "Web totals" with the quantity of records you have indexed.

Thank you. I have reviewed a couple of batches as mentioned, so I already had permission. Then the site said there were batches to review, but the button was grayed out and I could no longer click on it.

Thanks for asking. Here's a screenshot. It looks like this is just happening with the Finger Lakes ones.
