Error message while reviewing names
I am getting an error message when I attempt to review the 1950 Census...I am reviewing New Mexico and the message states "Something went wrong on this page"..then "An error occurred on this page. Please wait a few minutes and try again."...it then gives the options to Cancel, Refresh or Close...I am just closing and continuing, even if I have to attempt to process the name multiple times...so far, I have been able to submit every name. However, this little glitch is making me nuts and I would like it to go away...I saw one other post about what is likely this same error message and am glad I am not the only person dealing with this so hopefully it isn't something I did. I have reviewed nearly 1500 names prior to today and never had an error message before.
I am wondering what is causing this? Is there something I can do on my end to make it stop? Is it OK to just ignore the message and continue to submit the name as usual, after the message goes away?
Thank you for your help...my email address is shaslam100@yahoo.com.
Sincerely
Susan Haslam

When I am trying to review, and I get to the bottom of page
it brings up " Error has Occurred" Refresh Page.
I refresh the page and it kicks me out and when I go back to
choose a state Oregon, it says there is nothing available at this time!
This has happened over and over. I cannot even get in to Nevada!
I am going to quite trying to Review since there is so many problems
and it is so hard to access a batch.
I have found also that sometime when I "edit" and correct a name
it also kicks me out after saving the edit. 😖

I have also been getting that message. It even sent me the same names to review twice.
Good news: @Gwen Tryon Heaton, it's not a problem with just you or your computer.
Bad news: (guesses as to what's going on in the background as I'm not associated with FamilySearch):
- This is a new program and the bugs haven't all been worked out.
- There are a lot of files being uploaded to FamilySearch from Ancestry (slows things down)
- There are a lot of volunteers reviewing names accessing the site (slows things down)
What to do: Please be patient. Your help in this large endeavor is greatly appreciated. Your frustration totally understandable. If you also index, do that for a while, and check back later to see if the Census program is working better for you. I've been able to get back in for maybe a page or two before it errors out on me again today. So I'm indexing instead for the rest of the day.

Yes, there have been a few bugs that have cause problems these last couple days. Things are starting to smooth out a little though, so the coming days should be better!

Tonight I am getting the error messages
Every 3rd name, I get error message on this page and tell me to refresh.
It does not matter if it is an actual name or 'not at home' or 'vacant'
Just every 3rd name.
Arizona 1950. It is stalling now.

I'm getting this too. Close to zero success rate with name review attempts this morning.
The update XHR is returning status 400.

I am getting the same message and have tried 1950 US Census reviewing on Firefox, Edge and Chrome browsers. I really wish there was something about this on the FAQ/Update page, which looks like it hasn't been updated in a couple of days. I know staff is going crazy with this but post some updates.

This comes up with every entry. If I click on "cancel" the screen clears and I can move to the next name. Then I have to do the same thing again with every name.

I tried in the New Mexico information, same results except I could not complete the transaction no matter now many times I hit cancel.

Now it is every 2nd name!

Arizona 1950 managed to get to the finish line.
But New Mexico and Florida are stymied by the error message on every 2nd name.

They had better hurry and fix it. We have better things to do than sit around and wait a few minutes to let the system know it actually transcribed the document correctly! I've had to retry more than six times to get it to work. They will lose people due to frustration.

Starting to get too many error messages like this. Happens 5-8 times or more doing 20 names.

And what about this one? I'm getting this a lot, and I'm aware of other missionaries getting it frequently, as well. We then select "Refresh," and often this process must be repeated several times before the program finally gets going again...

Janell,
Did those 4 completed states (Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Arizona) get rolled back today???? Not completed

I am also having problems. I cannot click on "get started" to work on the census. I thought it was because the state of Arizona was finished, but it is also not working for Florida.
Any thoughts?

the issue is back "Something went wrong on this page
An error occurred on this page. Please wait a few minutes and try again." It's too frustrating to keep refreshing the page. I'm quitting .
