Is there a reason message history no longer scrolls to see all the people you have messaged.
I have tried on 5 different browsers, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi, Chrome and Edge. The messages themselves still scroll, but the list of poepl to the left, no longer scrolls. is this a glitch or for some reason we are not allowed to see older messages. I hope it is a glitch, I have a great deal of very important information in those messages that I cannot access right now.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
I just checked ...
You are 100% CORRECT ...
"User Messaging", in 'FamilySearch', ... is BROKEN ...
We can NO LONGER, scroll "Down" our LIST, of 'Messages'.
We are STUCK, with those, that are on the initial page/screen.
NO "Scroll Bar", to "Move" DOWN our LIST, of 'Messages'.
And, when, you are on the LAST 'Message', on that initial page/screen, one can go NO further, that is it ...
This is an absolute NIGHTMARE; especially, just after "RootsTech" ...
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I just wanted to support the Problem/Issue, that you identified.

ps: Moderators [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ]
This Problem/Issue NEEDS to be referred to the Programmers/Engineers ... 'Post-Haste' ... ASAP ...

@Brett . Thank you for confirming the issue. I hate that it is happening, but glad to know it is not just me. I need access to those messages!

It is happening here, too. I cannot scroll past the 8 most recent messages, nor can I find any "list" of people from Roots Tech I've added to my "Contact List." I can't find any mention of any "Contact List" on FamilySearch Help, either. It's as if no information exists about "contact lists" and there is no way to see older messages that, like you, have valuable information in them.. This is a SERIOUS problem FamilySearch... get on it!

I got a hold of familysearch. they are "sending the issue to the engineers"

FYI
This us a SERIOUS matter, that has NOT, been directly addressed (ie. responded to), via/through the post, by ANY "Moderators" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ].
It appears, that the poster, of this post, may have had to get in contact, with 'FamilySearch', through other channels.
This is the sort of thing, that makes, Participants, question the effectiveness, of this "FamilySearch.Community" Forum.
There has been, MORE than ample time, for ANY "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel) ], to directly address (ie. responded to), this post, via/through the post.
[ Plus, there have been recent OTHER 'Post' on the matter ... ]
Just my thoughts.
Humbly submitted for your IMMEDIATE, information; attention; and, consideration.
'Thank You' in advance.
Kind Regards
MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK
Yours Faithfully,
Brett

FYI
It's BACK ...
The "Scroll Bar" is back, we can again, now, "Move" both, UP; and, DOWN, our LIST, of 'Messages'.

where is the scroll bar in messages?
0 -
to the right of each section in the main window (on a computer, I have no idea if there even is one on the app as I rarely use it)

Bizarre ! Most other users seem to lose the ability to scroll the messages pane, not the the senders list. Since I can't replicate what you experience, can you try a few experiments.
If you click on a sender in the senders list and then press and hold the Page Down key, does the list scroll down then ?
If you click on SELECT in the Senders List, does the scroll bar appear ?

this issue was fixed months ago. My question was posted in March.

@Perry Trost The contact list that was available during RootsTech was not intended to continue. If you didn't message all of those in your contact list, you would not have any way to refer back to them. There was a message or note about this somewhere in the RootsTech information, but I don't remember where at this point. You are correct that FamilySearch does not have contact lists. You can add folks to Family Groups or to the new Friends list (on the left side of the new homepage).
