Is the Ideas discussion board broken ?
This morning, I went to check the Ideas discussion board for General User Interface and found it empty. Then I found that that ALL forums in the Ideas section were empty. Yet Q&A is fine.
Investigation using browser diagnostics revealed that all the elements in the Ideas section were present, they were just invisible. see first screenshot
For comparison, here a screenshot of the Q&A search discussions,
There is something different in the presentation of the Ideas section which causes all the content to be invisible.

'Yes', interesting ...
Most probably a somewhat, EARLY, prelude to what is to come ...

Community Upgrade - 13 October 2021 Update
Mark McLemore [admin] October 14
Greetings Friends,
Ahead of the upcoming changes on 1st November 2021, we will be making some adjustments this week to the current community layout. While most changes will be behind the scenes, there will be some changes made to the category structure, so we'd like to communicate them ahead of time:
- All categories under Ideas will be consolidated into a single category titled "Suggest an Idea".
- We will be eliminating a few Help Center Categories that are rarely used.
These changes are being made to be clearer on where you should suggest an idea, as well as help improve navigating through the community to get/give help related to FamilySearch.org
Warm Regards,
FamilySearch

Just a little earlier than expected ...
Or ...
Well, a slight mistake, oversight ... maybe ...
Just my thoughts
Brett

Isn't it standard practice to prototype and debug all changes on a completely independent system until it works properly and then after it's demonstrated to an athority to be working in accordance with the specification, you are allowed to go live.

All
Well ...
At least, currently, NO ONE, can submit, ANY 'Feedback', by way of "Ideas", through the normal channels
It just goes to here ...
https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/ids-suggestion
Where, when selected, ALL the 'Topics' are "Blank"/"Empty" ...
And, you CANNOT submit a NEW "Idea" (ie. "Feedback").
Again ...
Interesting ...
Lets hope it is an oversight ...

Oops ...
Most probably, a "Back End" process, in preparation for forthcoming "Community Upgrade", that went 'awry'.

@Brett . Thanks for confirming it's the same for you and It's not just me !
It is still possible to go directly to a discussion if you know the hyperlink.. But, nobody will be able to see anything you add unless they also have saved the hyperlink. You can get to all the discussions you've posted in from your profile, and then copy the URL when you have that page open. I forsee a temporary workaround where people pass hyperlinks around using messaging.

FYI
Yes ...
I was able to submit an "Idea" (ie. 'Feedback'), through a (somewhat) "Backdoor" URL.
It worked.
Where I was able to STILL select a specific 'Topic'.
"Ideas" Section
'Topic' = FamilySearch Community
Test ONLY. 19 October 2021
https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/106347/test-only-19-october-2021
But, certainly not within the purview of the 'layperson'.

FYI
'Yes' ... it is now ...
But, when I went in, just now, it initially, momentarily, went to the "Blank" page/scree; before, quickly "Refreshing", with the "ideas" listed.
Just a (somewhat) Temporary "Glitch" ... but, one that should NOT have occurred ...
Certainly DES NOT present a good 'Image' ...

Hello @Brett . & @LDS Search Test,
Apologies for the hiccup, this was related to some back-end work. The issue has since been resolved.
Best,
Mark

Hello @LDS Search Test,
Yes, this is standard practice and one we follow. Unfortunately, this particular issue was not caught in our previous testing. Please rest assured we are going to great lengths to identify and resolve issues before changes are made in this community.
Best,
Mark
