At least in PA the US Census for 1820 has different columns: After name 2 columns then divider, 1 column and divider, 8 columns and divider, 4 columns. What are the headings?

I too have noticed variation in where double vertical lines appear between columns. The variation used to worry me, so I would do consistency checks to be sure the columns were all the same. They were.

The headings are given on Wikipedia:

Is there a way to move posts? This post seems to belong in Q and A not Ideas.
