New interface rollout
Please allow users to revert back to the standard version when rolling out any new interface changes. Other major websites allow for this, such as Facebook and Google. It helps tremendously with change anxiety. But it can also give the engineering team significant clues about how users feel about the new interface. It will prevent panic and stress in users who are suddenly forced to change their whole workflow and have no way to get any resolution on a change that feels upsetting to the user. You can provide notifications and resets to the new interface so that you eventually get everyone on the new interface after about a month. Please allow us users to be able to quickly relieve a change to a new interface that feels bad to us.
Thank you!

They changed services, not just what the website looks like. But I totally understand where you are coming from.

This action was requested when FamilySearch made big changes to another section of the website a few years back. Im' afraid we have to accept this is not going to happen and learn to adapt to the revised features of "Community".
Having said that, we must be hopeful that FamilySearch developers are noting all our queries and can empathise with our confusion in relation to certain issues. There are obviously still things to be ironed-out and some bugs to be resolved. Hopefully, these problems will be addressed asap.

I just left a comment on the same issue! I rarely have experienced a change in user interface on a website that is for anyone's benefit other than to seem flashy and new. I don't understand why all websites don't allow to switch back to old layouts. I mean I do understand that it probably is very hard to manage and maintain code-wise. But I wish they'd put the time and effort into it.

IF, you are referencing/referring to the current TEMPORARY Unavailability (which started on about 2 June 2021), for possibly up to x90 Days, for ESSENTIAL Planned (system-wide) Maintenance (and, updates), of the 'Portal', of "Family History Centres", all around the World; especially, to the (FREE) Premium Websites; and/or, "Restricted" Materials (eg. Films); THEN, that has NOTHING to do with any ... New INTERFACE Rollout ...
That TEMPORARY Unavailability, of the 'Portal', of "Family History Centres", is purely a "Systems" MAINTENANCE/UPDATING matter.

I've "adapted" by choosing to no longer use the website. It is unuseable.
